Surrender to the Sea.

Sometimes during my painting process, I don't really know whats a specific painting about or to which energy it relates. With this collection it came so clear to my mind, but not during the process, but after finishing. It is definitely inspired by the strong energy of the winter waves, but looking deeper I realised it is dealing with my nearly-drowning situation while surfing more than one year ago in those big and strong winter waves. Not talking much about it, not giving it too much space or even trying to work on it, because the fear is big, it came up so intense with those paintings. It is a reminder for me, how powerful the ocean is on one hand, but also how beautiful and peaceful it is and how much I still love this place, even when it showed me its intense power.
